PMDG Forum Rules

1) SIGN YOUR POSTS. Since 1997, we have asked users to sign their real name, first and last, to all posts in the PMDG forum. We do this in order to keep conversations personal and familiar. You took the time to be here, we want to get to know you. This is one of the few rigid rules that we enforce regularly. We do so because we feel that forums in which users must engage one another personally are generally warmer, more collegial and friendly. Posts that are unsigned will be quietly removed without comment by the moderators, so to make your life easy- we recommend enabling your forum signature so that you never need to remember. Do this by clicking the username pull-down at the top right, then selecting "User Settings." You will find the signature editor on the ACCOUNT tab, about half way down the page. Look for "Edit Post Signature." Be sure to click the "Show Signatures" box.

2) BE NICE. We are all simmers here and no matter our differences of opinion, we share a common love of aviation, computing and simulation. Treat everyone else in the forum with respect even when you disagree. If someone frustrates you, walk away from the conversation or ask for a moderator to get involved. Speaking of Moderators, they prefer not to be treated as "The Thought Police" but if any behavior infringes on the enjoyment of another user or is otherwise considered to be unacceptable in the moderator's judgment, it will be addressed in keeping with our view of ensuring that this forum remains a healthy environment for all simmers.

3) BE LAWFUL: Any behavior that infringes upon the law, such as discussion or solicitation of piracy, threats, intimidation or abuse will be handled unsympathetically by the moderators. Threats and intimidation may, at the moderator's discretion, be provided to law enforcement for handling.

4) BE FACTUAL: When you post, always be factual. Moderators will remove posts that are determined not to be factually accurate.

5) RESPECT COPYRIGHTS: Posting of copyrighted material such as flight manuals owned by Boeing or various airlines is not allowed in this forum. If you have questions related to copyrighted material, please contact a forum moderator for clarification.

6) RESPECT PMDG: We love to hear what you like about our products. We also like to hear what you think can be improved, or what isn't working. Please do tell us and we will always treat your feedback with value. Just be sure to treat the team respectfully, as they do put a significant amount of effort into building and maintaining these great simulation products for you.

7) RESPECT PMDG DEVELOPERS: All of the developers will spend some time here. Given the ratio of developers-to-users, it simply isn't possible for us to answer every post and private message individually. Please know that we do try to read everything, but developer workload is simply too high to manage personal contact with tens-of-thousands of users simultaneously. In most cases, members of the development team will stick to conversations in the forum and will not answer private messages.

8) RESPECT OTHER DEVELOPERS: PMDG has always advocated for a strong development community and we have many friends within this community. Every developer offers something unique that helps to make the simming community larger and more vibrant. We insist that you treat our friends respectfully.

9) RESPECT MODERATORS: Moderators have a tough job, and none of them enjoy having to stomp out negativity. If a moderator has to weigh in to keep a thread peaceful, please respect that effort and refrain from giving the moderator any grief.

10) If you require official support for any of our products please open a support ticket through the support portal, https://support.precisionmanuals.com

11) This forum is designed primarily as a vehicle for the PMDG development team to interact with our customers, and for customers to interact with one another in a manner that is positive, supportive and assists in the general advancement of understanding the simulation and helping to make this and future simulations better. Any other use of this forum is not permitted, including but not limited to discussion of pricing policies, business practices, forum moderating policies, advertising of non-PMDG products, promotion of events, services or products that are not approved in advance by PMDG or any other topic deemed unacceptable by any forum administrator

12) HAVE FUN: This is the whole point of it all.

[05FEB20] PMDG 737 NGXu 600/700 Expansion Released as well as update for NGXu Base Package

    Captains,

During the afternoon today, we have been progressively rolling out changes and the long awaited 600/700 expansion package for the NGXu product line.

Okay- first- lets talk New Hotness!

PMDG 737NGXu 600/700 Expansion Package Released:
We have just released the "short body" members of the 737NG fleet, with the 737-600 and 737-700 series airplanes! We have included all of the certified winglet types with a standard wing on the 600, and all three of the standard, blended and split scimitar winglets on the 700 series. With this expansion package, you get the cockpit differences and systems operations differences between the two types, as well as accurate flight models to really show off the tremendous performance capabilities of these much smaller, sportier versions of the airplane.

Full PBR exterior models with incredibly detailed 3D geometry, high resolution textures and fully custom animations- we think you will find this expansion fills out the fleet, giving you access to a broad array of flying experiences and performance differences. Aircraft handling differences are accurately modeled, with the subtlety in handling qualities meticulously crafted in order to allow you to see and feel the difference in handling between types. While operated with a common type rating, your flying will have to account for the handling differences at key phases of flight if you are to avoid damaging the airplane or mishandling the flying.

EFB performance computations for the new expansion airplanes is included within the EFB, as well as numerous cockpit and systems differences and as always their affect on the behavior of other systems and overall aircraft performance.

As always- we have your new flying covered with 28 new liveries for the 600/700 fleet, bringing to sixty eight the total number of liveries available **at no cost to you** from within the PMDG Operations Center 2.0. We think this will give you great coverage no matter where in the world you choose to fly- and we have more coming your way in the days and weeks ahead.

Speaking of value: the PMDG 737NGXu product line has been the fastest selling PMDG product in our 22 year history. We cannot thank you enough for this strong vote of confidence in our work, our team and our commitment to our products and the sim community as a whole. As a small thank-you, we are temporarily discounting the release price of the PMDG 737NGXu 600/700 Expansion by $10 for anyone who purchases during the month of February 2020. This is just a little way of saying thank you for the support you give to us- we appreciate the fact that you are here and that you fly our products.

      Woohoo, exciting news!

EDIT: will we also get a credit towards the purchase of the 600/700 in MSFS or is that only planned for the Base package?

Haha, you're welcome! It's just a genuine question I have though. I know that with the current sale the 600/700 is a no-brainer but still it would be nice to get some sort of discount when buying it for MSFS. But perhaps I'm too spoiled now after their 800/900 promotion 😅

Yes, if I recall correctly that offer was only valid until the end of 2019. It didn't give you the aircraft for free for MSFS2020 either, but instead gave you a full credit for the NGXu purchase price towards the purchase of the PMDG 737 in MSFS2020.

                          Dear PMDG Team!

Thank you so much for delivering on time.... and also for working on the BBJ and Cargo versions.... will that expansion have an extra cost or will it be included among updates?

In addition, as per the product's page - I'm still seeing that the MCP Dynamic Lightning hasn't been fixed yet - are you estimating further updates/fixes in the near future?

                          Warm regards and Happy Flying!

                            Warm regards and Happy Flying!

Ooops! Sorry... I've only seen the image at the PMDG.com website - still downloading the Expansion - it seems to be that the MCP lighting is fixed - Will check it out tomorrow...

                              Rafael,

I believe you are mistaken. Keep in mind that product images on the page are not continually updated as we make changes to the product.

Stoked to see the -700 expansion has been released, but I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the repaint selection available. No SSW Southwest paints available, and the old Southwest BW paint doesn't have the flap fairings painted red. I would've hoped the largest fleet of 737-700s would've gotten a bit more love.

Congrats on the release! When can we expect Ops Center V2 to be out for existing products? I uninstalled all my livery's and have been holding out on flying until it is.

I specifically stayed away from SWA paints because I know there are several painters who will paint every imaginable livery they fly. You should hop down in the repaint forum and see what they've done on the 800 thus far and I'm sure the -700s will be coming out very soon.

Being on the beta team I had the opportunity to supplement the excellent paints already in the expansion. These are available at Avsim by clicking the link in my sig.
John Tavendale and Alex Farmer have also been painting the 700 and have several liveries available as well.

Can I install PMDG 737 NGXu on FSX (because FSX and P3D have same build code)?
                                              Please answer quickly, guys

Given the brilliance of some of the repainters we have on here, it'll only be a matter of time until the Southwest fleet get the love they deserve.
