Captains,
This week marks 25 years that PMDG has been part of the Flight Simulation Community. From a very inauspicious beginning offering our "747-400 PS1 Users Guide" that was first released in late 1997, to minor air file modifications for Microsoft Flight Simulator '98, to a product line of our own software spanning more than 60 products across ten different simulation platforms and nine operating systems.
Not a bad run for tiny little entrant into a marketplace that has been in a constant state of flux for nearly that entire period of our existence.
As a team, we have been reflecting on just how much life and simming has changed in the past twenty five years, and while there have been years that have been better than others, all of us at PMDG feel that the simming hobby and community has never been as vibrant and energetic as it is today.
It is hard to express how grateful we are for the support that continues to be shown to us every day by all of you who purchase and fly our products, offer feedback and constructive criticism, laughs and friendship along the way. Not only could we not do this without your support, it would be significantly less fun were it not for your role in the PMDG community. We have gotten to know many of you through your participation here in the PMDG forum, and we look forward to many more years of fun and laughs.
Thank you for being here- and for supporting us all of these years.
To celebrate, we have just launched our "sort-of-annual" birthday sale offering 25% off your order at www.pmdg.com. The sale runs through the end of the day, 14AUG22 and includes *almost* all PMDG products. (The brand new 737-600 is excluded, but all other products are included.)
Don't forget: Back in 2019, when we launched the PMDG 737NGXu, we gave nearly 9,000 of you a $99.99 credit to your account just for having purchased the PMDG 737NGXu. This represents neraly a $1M reinvestment back into the simming community- and when combined with the 25% birthday celebration, you can stretch that credit even further- so don't wait!
We aren't simply sitting here eating cake- we are hard at work on the 737-800 and will have more information for you on the planned release schedule in the very near future!
Thank you again for all that you have done to support us all of these years. We quite literally wouldn't do this without you.
