PMDG Forum Rules

1) SIGN YOUR POSTS. Since 1997, we have asked users to sign their real name, first and last, to all posts in the PMDG forum. We do this in order to keep conversations personal and familiar. You took the time to be here, we want to get to know you. This is one of the few rigid rules that we enforce regularly. We do so because we feel that forums in which users must engage one another personally are generally warmer, more collegial and friendly. Posts that are unsigned will be quietly removed without comment by the moderators, so to make your life easy- we recommend enabling your forum signature so that you never need to remember. Do this by clicking the username pull-down at the top right, then selecting "User Settings." You will find the signature editor on the ACCOUNT tab, about half way down the page. Look for "Edit Post Signature." Be sure to click the "Show Signatures" box.

2) BE NICE. We are all simmers here and no matter our differences of opinion, we share a common love of aviation, computing and simulation. Treat everyone else in the forum with respect even when you disagree. If someone frustrates you, walk away from the conversation or ask for a moderator to get involved. Speaking of Moderators, they prefer not to be treated as "The Thought Police" but if any behavior infringes on the enjoyment of another user or is otherwise considered to be unacceptable in the moderator's judgment, it will be addressed in keeping with our view of ensuring that this forum remains a healthy environment for all simmers.

3) BE LAWFUL: Any behavior that infringes upon the law, such as discussion or solicitation of piracy, threats, intimidation or abuse will be handled unsympathetically by the moderators. Threats and intimidation may, at the moderator's discretion, be provided to law enforcement for handling.

4) BE FACTUAL: When you post, always be factual. Moderators will remove posts that are determined not to be factually accurate.

5) RESPECT COPYRIGHTS: Posting of copyrighted material such as flight manuals owned by Boeing or various airlines is not allowed in this forum. If you have questions related to copyrighted material, please contact a forum moderator for clarification.

6) RESPECT PMDG: We love to hear what you like about our products. We also like to hear what you think can be improved, or what isn't working. Please do tell us and we will always treat your feedback with value. Just be sure to treat the team respectfully, as they do put a significant amount of effort into building and maintaining these great simulation products for you.

7) RESPECT PMDG DEVELOPERS: All of the developers will spend some time here. Given the ratio of developers-to-users, it simply isn't possible for us to answer every post and private message individually. Please know that we do try to read everything, but developer workload is simply too high to manage personal contact with tens-of-thousands of users simultaneously. In most cases, members of the development team will stick to conversations in the forum and will not answer private messages.

8) RESPECT OTHER DEVELOPERS: PMDG has always advocated for a strong development community and we have many friends within this community. Every developer offers something unique that helps to make the simming community larger and more vibrant. We insist that you treat our friends respectfully.

9) RESPECT MODERATORS: Moderators have a tough job, and none of them enjoy having to stomp out negativity. If a moderator has to weigh in to keep a thread peaceful, please respect that effort and refrain from giving the moderator any grief.

10) If you require official support for any of our products please open a support ticket through the support portal, https://support.precisionmanuals.com

11) This forum is designed primarily as a vehicle for the PMDG development team to interact with our customers, and for customers to interact with one another in a manner that is positive, supportive and assists in the general advancement of understanding the simulation and helping to make this and future simulations better. Any other use of this forum is not permitted, including but not limited to discussion of pricing policies, business practices, forum moderating policies, advertising of non-PMDG products, promotion of events, services or products that are not approved in advance by PMDG or any other topic deemed unacceptable by any forum administrator

12) HAVE FUN: This is the whole point of it all.

The previous addons' EFBs include it so I don't think PMDG will change that.

Ephedrin TO2 is not modelled in the 748 at least.

How? I've been getting TO2 derates in the 748 fine. I just need to input the obstacle information as by default they're not included due to Boeing licensing costs.

So beautiful! Nice to emphasize the ground relationship. Of all the times I've flown on and observed company 777, it certainly has a noticeable tendency to "wobble(?)" at landing/takeoff. Looking forward to this!

Read carefully, in true PMDG style Robert stated "release maybe end Jan or start of Feb", but he failed to mention which year! Jokes aside, well done and Happy New Year to the team!

I am SUUUPER stoked to hear this news. Can't wait for the end of the month to come early.
I wouldn't mind buying the whole suite including the original 200 / 300 variants as well. This is by far my favorite aircraft.

Btw, will you be lifting the NDA soon ................. (please answer yes very soon like tomorrow)

I take my NGX(even later NGXU) as main aircraft type for P3D for several years, I still remember those day flying a T7 on FSX platform travel the world.
So I wonder if an early FSX version T7 users could get this free update to P3D version?
I don't know where it should go as a digital product😅

I had been waiting for the P3Dv5 compatibility update to get the 777, but lost my patience and bought the 747-8 just last night (as my birthday present to me!).

Not crying at all (though my wallet is sniffling a little...).

Still looking forward to this rollout and i'm sure I'll talk myself into "needing" it, too. 😁

                    Fantastic news!

Out of curiosity, will the ER expansion also include weights and specs for the “A-market” non-ER 200s powered by Trent 877/PW4077/GE90-76B engines, and/or the original “non-ER” 777-300?

Doubt it as this is the 200ER and not marketed as a -200 or -300

Can we get another couple of screen shots of the engines’ nozzles please?

Preferably a rear 3/4 view of all three because I will admit I have some doubts about the modeling on the P&W

Wow great news! good future for us to enjoy any PMDG products and soon The Boeing 777 airfoil with lots of 0 and 1 working in the background updated to P3D v5 standards. I know; I will feel all the flight controls real thanks to Intel and AMD to provide us with great computing techs for us to enjoy sims and more! Guys; In the Boeing factory when I did my 787 endorsement. I was fascinating to see how Boeing builds this complex airplanes. It is awesome also to see how PMDG resembles that in software wow!

Thank you for the update on the 777 updates and the 777ER release. I look forward to the EFB and, later, the virtual cockpit upgrades. The 777 is a wonderful aircraft to fly. It's also heavily utilized by airlines all over the globe for long hauls and short hauls alike. PMDG has done a wonderful job creating this aircraft for P3D. I can't wait to be able to access the 737, 747, and 777 in MSFS! It's great to hear that the PMDG team is working on MSFS projects! I look forward to the day MSFS becomes stable enough for PMDG's products to be available to purchase and fly in that sim. Until then, we'll enjoy them in P3D.

Fantastic update shots and I am positive everyone's tickled pink. Thanks for showing us this.

Now, if I may ask-previous update (Circa Nov), mentioned that GFO would be released shortly after the 777 update. Is that still the intent?

I typically am the LAST to ask for any specific previews, but-how fortunate will we be if we got to see some GFO previews?

Keep up the great work. The bar continuously gets raised

Glad to see the love for the 777: my favorite PMDG product (now only if we could have a 767).

Does anyone know if the EFB on the 777 will have the option to not be displayed (like in the 737 NGXu)?

I use my iPad as an EFB and prefer not to have it in the cockpit. But I am looking forward to -200ER version (and paintkit if there’s a new one).

May be a bit early to ask this... but will we get a standalone installer, or will I need to keep my P3Dv4.5 777 install intact to install the update? (I have both P3Dv4.5 installed, and P3Dv5 installed -- the 777 is only installed to v4, but want to know if I should uninstall it prior to installing the update, or leave it in-place).

Seeing as FSX and P3D have always been separate licenses, I am guessing not. Also, PMDG requires you to sign your posts with your first and last name, which you agreed to when you created an account here. Instructions on how to do so can be found here:

I would assume so, since the 737 and the 747-8 both have that option.

What am I missing here? I thought the EFB functionality was left for MSFS.

Ross- I suspect you might have mis-read something from one of the long-wordy posts. EFB has always been described as delivering with the 200ER. The EFB will include data for the 777-200ER, 200LR, F and 300ER- but you will need to the 200ER installed in order to have use of it. -RSR

Negative, it was the new virtual cockpit. The EFB was always going to be included with the -200ER, but would be included with all 777s with the purchase of the -200ER.
